Counterflows is a four day international festival of radical, diverse and thought-provoking music, presented with warmth, fun and inclusivity across some of Glasgow’s best spaces during 4th-7th of April 2019
Fighting the creeping isolationist agenda and loom of age-old hierarchies, our desire to work locally and internationally – to hold onto and mutually nurture everyone’s capacity to be deeply human, deeply connected and deeply alive – is stronger than ever.
Through live events, clubs, discussions, film screenings and hang-outs – woven through some of the best spaces in Glasgow – Counterflows aims to enact a human flow and provide an inclusive, fun space to engage with important marginal music.
The following festival and day passes are available
Individual events passes can be found in the timetable >>
We endeavour to make the festival as relaxed and inclusive as possible:
- Everyone is welcome
- The social rules are relaxed, so you can sit, dance or stand and you can leave the venue and come back at anytime.
- There will be ear defenders available at the door of each event.
- If you are experiencing anything that makes you uncomfortable inform a member of staff and we will help
We create the space together at the festival. It should go without saying – let’s be good to one another.
If there’s anything we can do to make the festival easier for you to attend and enjoy, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help. firstname.lastname@example.org
Are all the events at Counterflows Festival 2019 wheelchair accessible?
Yes. All events at Counterflows Festival 2019 will have wheelchair friendly step-free access. Check the event listing for each event for specific access and toilet details.
We offer ‘2 for 1’ tickets for the festival for carers attending with disabled customers. We are more than happy to reserve you a seat or a space for a wheelchair if you need it. Drop us a line at email@example.com with your purchase confirmation to make a reservation.
Is there seating at every event?
The events at Counterflows are a mixture of standing and unallocated seating shows. If you are unable to stand for long periods and require a seat, please let us know and we will reserve you one.
Can I volunteer at Counterflows Festival?
We are small festival with a very small team behind the scenes, so any extra help is hugely appreciated!
We will be doing a call out for volunteers later this February. If you are interested volunteering at the festival – helping collect tickets, usher audiences and selling merchandise – please let us know!
Is the festival seated or standing?
The festival takes place in many different venues with varied standing and unallocated seating arrangements. If you are unable to stand for long-periods please let us know and we can reserve you a seat at the events.
When does each event start and finish?
Details on the door opening times, start times and finish times are stated on each individual event listing.
Am I able to walk between each venue?
Yes. We have programmed the festival to allow plentiful time to travel between each venue by foot (15 minutes maximum walk between each venue). For venues that are a lengthier distance apart we will arrange free buses (Anderson Community Church to Art School on Friday and Kinning Park Complex to Queens Park Bowling Club on Sunday)
Where do I pick up tickets?
There are no physical tickets. To gain entry to each event please come with your eventbrite ticket reservation (print out or on phone) and show it on the door for access.
Day passes and festival passes are in the form of wristbands and can be collected on the door of first event you attend at the festival.
