Luke Fowler is an artist based in Glasgow working at the threshold of film and sound. His films are informed by research into radical figures such as psychiatrist RD Laing, composer Cornelius Cardew and historian E.P. Thompson. Fowler collaborates with a wide range of musicians including Richard Youngs, Toshiya Tsunoda, Jean-Luc Guionnet, Alasdair Roberts, David Toop, Sylvia Hallet, Stevie Jones and Cara Tolmie. Since 2010 he has been playing the Serge Analogue Modular Synthesiser which he combines with self-made instruments. The first studies of which are documented on his recent solo LP “Fowl Tapes II” on Dekorder.
