Nichola Scrutton and Alex South have just completed their AC Projects Music Residency at CCA Glasgow. During the month-long residency in the Creative Lab they explored psychoacoustic and sonic relationships between voice and clarinet in addition to breathing practices informed by Pranayama. Along the way, Nichola and Alex were delighted to work with sound designer William Aikman, filmmaker Wendy Kirkup and dance artists Joan Clevillé and Solène Weinachter. In the informal sharing at the end of the residency, reviewed in The Herald, the duo presented works-in-progress involving live electronics, a film created in collaboration with Wendy, and free improvisation.
Big thanks to Alasdair, Alex and Kenny and all at CCA Glasgow!
